Frequently asked
Answers to commonly asked questions about our Chattanooga Blacks Arts & Ideas Festival: Juneteenth.
Can I bring children?
YES!!! This is a family-friendly environment and we strongly encourage you to bring your children, your neighbor’s children and all children! Our goal is to educate everyone about the history of Black people and Juneteenth.
Can I bring a lawn chair?
YES! We encourage you to bring your own seating. We only ask that you be respectful of those who may choose to sit on blankets on the ground.
Can I bring a tent?
Tents are allowed only if they are on the perimeter of the event and do not block the view of other festival-goers.
Can I bring a cooler to the festival?
Depending on the location, public versus private property will be an indication of your ability to bring a cooler. We will also have that information as part of the Schedule of Events.
Is the festival free?
Most events during the multi-day festival are free. On occasion there will be ticketed events. For example, this year’s Black Dads Matter Father's Day Brunch and Concert is ticked. Each event listed the schedule of events will indicate clearly if it will be TICKETED or FREE.
